Whole plant infusion to saturation in olive oil.
It may be useful for gout, rheumatic disorders, eczema and other skin disorders.
A healing salve can be made by heating 1 part beeswax to 3 parts dandelion oil. Blend dandelion oil with other oils such as chickweed, plantain, St. Johns Wort, Calendula and comfrey for healing balms and massage oils.
The name is a corruption of the French dent de lion that means "lion's tooth."
Deandeion leaves and buds have been used for culinary purposes, the root has been used as a coffee substitute, and the fermented leaves make dandelion wine.
Dandelions are also important plants for bees, providing nectar and pollen early in the searson.
Dandelion Extract is generally considered to be low hazard, but Dandelion has been known to cause contact dermatitis.
Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
